In 2005 a subsidiary company of Rasa Hospitality opened the first privately held Buri Rasa Village Resort on Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui and since has established successful resorts in popular tourist destinations in Thailand. It also serves as the owner’s representative of the 5-star resort Anantara Rasanon Koh Phangan Villas owned by Kemchai Rasanon & family.
In 2013 Chairman Kemchai Rasanon and Managing Director Michael S. Howard founded Rasa Hospitality to meet the need for professional management of their growing portfolio of owned properties. Based on the successful development of the Buri Rasa Village Resorts and the engagement in management contracts with private hotel owners, the group has launched a brand strategy to expand their portfolio offering professional management services. Current success outside of the group includes Onsen @ Moncham which the firm helped finalize the building process, market positioning and turnkey management for five years running. The group also oversaw recent expansions.
Planned growth of the portfolio in key destinations is focused on Boutique & Lifestyle brands.

Kemchai Rasanon has more than 40 years of business experience to utilize as an advisor to the Rasa Hospitality team. Having served on the boards of banks and investment and securities companies, he has also developed more than 50 properties in the commercial, residential and hospitality sectors. This experience sets the tone for his direction of cautious expansion and development, minimizing the risk for the company and all partners.
Michael Howard has been working in Thailand since 2003 and has more than 25 years of experience working with brands ranging from Hyatt and Renaissance to Leading Hotels of The World. In Thailand, Michael has served as General Manager, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Sales & Marketing before co-founding Rasa Hospitality. As the co-founder & managing director of Rasa Hospitality, Michael guides all aspects of the group while always maintaining continual contact with the resorts, associates and guests.
